I had such a big problem filing with TurboTax online this year. My wife and I needed to file two state returns, and I wanted to check out what my what the differences would be if we filed in different ways. The online software is completely crippled in this sense, and I would have had to pay a lot extra to tinker around with it. In the end, I just downloaded H&R Block's software natively on my computer (after a friend's recommendation), and was able to test things until my heart was content.
