I am full of crap
What some of you forgot is that I am quite good with Photoshop. If I were you, I’d question every single image that hits this site … =) No, not really.
I guess I have to come out and say it was a joke. As in “no, I didn’t make $1,800 on Friday from Adsense”. But I did make $20 from all that traffic.
Speaking of traffic, this site hit 314 uniques per today … That’s a new record! Thanks for the mentions, ya’ll.
Speaking of ya’ll, I’m in Texas already. The weather is much better than it was is Michigan; the flight was quite pleasant, and I’m outside with my laptop blogging away while sitting on some box.
Speaking of box, I just had my first Jack-in-a-Box combo meal. Nev seems to have a connection with “Bob”, who seems to be connected with JITB. When Nev showed ”Bob” as a guy in a suit with a white balloon for a head, I thought Nev was trying to crop out the face. Turns out, the guy in a suit with a goofy balloon for a head and wearing a coned hat is the actual JITB logo.
The burger was good, but the curly fries were too deep-fried, tightly-wound, and crumbled up in the bag.
For those of you renting cars, don’t forget to include the $20/day insurance expense (I totally forgot about it) into your total cost of rental. Our cars don’t have comprehensive or collision coverage to be extended to this rental, so I had to unclench the fist and give up some cash. Oh, and they didn’t have a compact, so I’m styling in a 2006 Malibu (23 mpg, ouch). Upside – I’m beating the living shit out of it, and everything is covered.
I’m interviewing on Monday. If they tell me “they will call me back”, I could use some IT/accounting job leads – nod to all Austin residents.
Anyway – I got some you good on the $1,800 thing. And of course I am NOT selling the 300SD.
Holy crap did I ever fall for that one! We’ll done. You deserve to make that $20!!

Well, I’ll have you know I had a #11 combo and TWO TACOS FOR 99C. I’m not dead yet …
As far as weird AdSense numbers in Photoshop, AdSense uses dark green Arial Narrow Bold font, not aliased (it’s a webpage, duh), so I bet that’s exactly what it would look like had I made that $1,800. Maybe I’m wrong, so you can prove me wrong.
Oh, we’re going to Corpus Christi to stare at the Gulf like two idiots who’ve never been west of Illinois.

You can waive the Rental Car Insurance if you have certain credit cards (Platinum, etc. Obviously you want to check that your card has this rider first.
The credit card requirement is that you reserve and pay for the car with the card..but in reality if you book the car with the card and then don’t have an accident you can ‘switch’ the cards when you turn the car in.
